Instant-t - 2021’ - A short film constructed from high-resolution scans of instant photographs paired with an original poem. Drawing from Roland Barthes and inspired by Chris Marker’s still-image cinema, the piece explores how everyday moments accumulate meaning through simple, accessible image-making tools. The work reflects my ongoing interest in merging text, analog processes, and essayistic filmmaking. I regularly bring these approaches into the classroom, encouraging students to embrace intuitive, low-barrier production methods as a way to foreground storytelling, structure, and personal voice.
