About Blue Witness:

We are a micro-press working out of a modest home in southern Illinois. We publish 2-3 books a year—poetry, nonfiction, photography, and experimental crossovers—each edited and designed with care in collaboration with its author or artist.

We are not interested in books made for the digital world. There are no digital editions. Each title is selected with care and printed in small, limited runs meant to be cherished by those lucky enough to encounter them

What we are interested in are narratives that reflect the human experience through the working conditions of twenty-first-century America—stories sometimes familiar, sometimes foreign, even to the communities they come from. The press is a humble effort to carry the spirit of labor and the everyday into durable literary and artistic forms.
